Malibu Surfboard Covers

malibu surfboard cover specsLongboards are generally defined as anything over 9' long, under that, you've got mini Malibu's, funboards, hybrids, fish and shortboards.

Malibu's, the original form of surfboard used by Polynesians to ride the wave's standing up, were huge and carved from solid wood.

Heaps has changed since; boards are now high tech machines made of foam and fibreglass; are a fraction of the weight and much more manoeuvrable.

Contrary to popular belief, a Malibu is not the best surfboard to learn on, they're easy to paddle and catch a wave but after that, the beginner might just have too much board on his hands to handle, so go for something a little shorter in the mini mal range.
